De Anna Holloway, LMFT
Somatic Trauma Psychotherapist
De Anna brings her education and experience to patients at Lido Wellness Center (LWC) through her work as a Somatic Trauma Psychotherapist. She holds a Master of Arts degree from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Counseling with an emphasis in depth-oriented psychology which focuses on helping individuals become aware of what has been cast out of consciousness or not yet able to be known.
De Anna’s primary focus is working with patients who have experienced sexual and domestic abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and chronic pain. She interacts with her patients by designing and structuring group content that highlights and supports somatic work as a vital part of their treatment program. De Anna’s approach to healing is aligned with LWC’s philosophy on supporting and collaborating with its therapists on each individualized treatment plan to help the patient achieve healing.
Prior to coming to LWC, De Anna worked in sober living and with low-income mental health patients. She also operated incest survivor support groups and facilitated women’s sexual healing workshops. With the seriousness of the work and the struggles that many patients bring with them from past trauma, De Anna is appreciative of LWC’s collective spirit of compassion coupled with the encouragement, empowerment, and sense of community.
De Anna’s training in depth-oriented psychology is the culmination of a transformative program that brings mythology and psyche to life and “recognizes that healing is associated with allowing what has been repressed, rejected, denied or ignored to come forward so that the person can understand, explore its significance and integrate it, allowing for a transformation in consciousness.” For her own health and wellness, De Anna works a daily practice that includes embodied dance, yoga, and meditation. She credits time spent with family as a way for her to revitalize and refresh her energy.
