Hanna McAlister, RDN
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
Hanna McAlister serves as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist at Lido Wellness Center (LWC), assisting patients in repairing their relationship with food and helping them form coping skills to reduce eating disorder behaviors. In addition to receiving her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutritional Science from California State University, Los Angeles, Hanna completed a year-long dietetic internship through Public Health Foundation WIC (Women Infants Children) in the Los Angeles area where she worked with low-income communities to help provide nutrition education to children and pregnant women.
Approaching a decade of cumulative experience working with patients who struggle with eating disorders, and/or disordered eating, she is keenly able to mold and shape her approach with each patient and to recognize each individual’s needs in how they approach their relationship with food. She has worked with individuals from all walks of life and continues to pursue research into hormonal health, specifically Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and how it relates to nutrition and eating disorders.
She sees her role at LWC as an important one in helping patients on their journey to food freedom and intuitive eating. She enjoys providing her patients with the insight that allows them to apply nutrition education to their own lives together with tools to practice food freedom. At Lido Wellness Center she is grateful to work with a supportive team and a community that provides a safe space to work and feel supported as she helps patients become more aware and intuitive eaters. When she is not at work, she likes to spend time outdoors, hiking, going to the beach, and outings with her daughter at the park.
