
Tahsiyn Shaakira Raasikh, MSW
Lido Housing Manager
Shaakira is the program manager for Lido Wellness Living (LWL), the supportive housing option for Lido Wellness Center clients. In that position, she leads the housing team and manages the day-to-day residential operations. Shaakira earned her Master of Social Work and previously worked with children and teens in group home settings, specializing in CBT and DBT therapy. She also has prior experience in various hospital settings including surgical, cardiac, and psychiatric care. Additionally, she has vast experience working with individuals experiencing mental health and substance abuse disorders. She has also worked as a case manager in homeless services ranging from the permanent supportive housing setting to the emergency shelter setting. She joined LWL to work with diverse populations and to have the unique ability to use her specialized experience to interact both clinically, and operationally, in improving programs and achieving organizational goals.
Shaakira specializes in crisis intervention, mindfulness practice, the utilization of a strengths-based perspective, democratic leadership, and skillful collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. In her position with LWL, Shaakira enjoys working with a staff that is just as passionate about providing high-quality care as she is. She finds the everyday opportunity to interact with patients and hear their success stories to be the most rewarding aspect of her job, and she works expertly toward ensuring program excellence for beneficial patient outcomes.
Shaakira graduated from California State University Long Beach with a Bachelor’s in Sociology. She then continued her education with Boise State University, graduating with her Master’s in Social Work with a focus on mental health. In her own life, Shaakira incorporates wellness and self-care by spending time outdoors, practicing mindfulness activities, and setting aside time for activities that bring her joy.
