Tara Hawkins, PhD
In her position at Lido Wellness Center (LWC), Dr. Hawkins performs psychological testing and evaluations for patients. Previously in her former positions working in private practice settings in Florida and Georgia, she focused on psychological and forensic assessments. She has also worked for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation which provided her with unique forensic experience in a locked correctional facility at both the inpatient and outpatient levels of care.
In her work with LWC, Dr. Hawkins specializes in psychological assessment and individual adult therapy, utilizing her experience in providing psychodynamic psychotherapy to enhance her patient offerings. She is instrumental in guiding a patient’s healing journey through her initial diagnosis and treatment plan recommendations. She expertly wields her education and experience to ensure that each patient receives the carefully tailored, individualized treatment they need to succeed. Dr. Hawkins believes that the most rewarding aspect of her job is working with the diversity of patients at LWC. Through her work she enjoys meeting new people, helping her patients to the best of her ability, and demonstrating her competence in her field through beneficial patient outcomes.
Dr. Hawkins obtained her Doctorate degree from Alliant International University, accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA). She completed her pre-doctoral internship and post-doctorate fellowship in private practices conducting psychological and forensic assessments. Dr. Hawkins incorporates wellness and self-care into her personal routine through baking, traveling, spending time outdoors, taking time to focus on her own needs, and maintaining her passion for long distance running.
