Mood Instability:
Frequent mood swings, irritability, or emotional outbursts, with feelings of sadness, anxiety, or anger that seem difficult to control or disproportionate to the situation.
At Lido Wellness Center, we are focused on treating the whole person. While we specialize in depressive and anxiety disorders along with trauma and stress-related disorders and co-occurring illnesses, we know that mental illness doesn’t fall into easy-to categorize buckets.
Consequently, co-occurring conditions that include eating disorders, substance abuse, and other behavioral health conditions may accompany mood-related mental illness. They happen at the same time, and are treated differently than a single occurring mental health disorder.
Frequent mood swings, irritability, or emotional outbursts, with feelings of sadness, anxiety, or anger that seem difficult to control or disproportionate to the situation.

Deterioration in overall health, such as neglecting self-care, experiencing fatigue, worsening mental health symptoms, or feeling physically drained and unable to function normally.
Our therapists here at Lido Wellness Center are skilled in understanding the complex nature of how trauma, mood disturbances, and our environment may impact an individual’s relationship with food and his or her body. We place great value on empowering patients to discover the wisdom of their bodies.
This allows our patients to nourish themselves and move in a way that optimizes their treatment experiences and healing journeys with mental health and substance use. This also allows our patients to nourish themselves during treatment for all co-occurring disorders.
Substance use, such as alcohol abuse and drug addiction, is a pandemic in the U.S. that many times is associated with behavioral health conditions that stem from trauma. As a result, individuals who commit alcohol and drug abuse to the point of developing substance use disorders or co-occurring disorders with substance use often suffer from adverse long-term physical, emotional, and mental illnesses that can be serious or life-threatening. Thus, such individuals may need substance abuse treatment or treatment for co-occurring disorders.
