Endless Possibilities For Recovery

LIDO WELLNESS CENTER™ is a premier outpatient mental and behavioral health facility located in Newport Beach, California. Our Orange County & Newport Beach mental health treatment team focuses on providing integrative, holistic, and comprehensive care for the treatment of trauma, depression, anxiety and other mental health disorders that co-occur with behavioral health issues such as alcoholism, drug addiction and eating disorders.

We are unique – each of us special in our way. Like the glass once thoughtlessly discarded into the sea, we are shaped by the waves in our lives – the ups and downs. The experiences that erode our resilience and sap our strength.

At Lido Wellness Center, we recognize that the underlying trauma and pain of our experiences need to be acknowledged and embraced for us to seek a better path. We look underneath those scratches on the surface and help you shine again.

Mental Health Approach

Levels of care

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to mental health treatment. Treatment must instead be tailored for the individual, as some problems vary greatly from person to person even among those with a similar dual diagnosis.

Mental health treatment and navigating the different levels of care can be a difficult and confusing process. The first step in receiving care for your condition is typically an evaluation from one of our mental health professionals, who will help determine what treatment program is right for you or your loved one.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a structured mental health treatment program for someone who has experienced residential or inpatient treatment. These programs are also available for any person who needs a continuum of care. Clients participate in their scheduled sessions during the day, 5 times per week, and then return home to their home or to our supportive housing for both IOP and PHP programs.

PHPs can provide an effective alternative when traditional methods fail. This treatment program is a level of care below 24-hour care and is commonly used as a preventative measure against an unnecessary stay in an inpatient/residential facility. Our outpatient treatment programs are designed for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Difficulty functioning at work, school, or other activities
  • Not at risk of being a danger to themselves or others
  • Medically stable
  • Has an adequate support system at home
  • Motivated to participate in treatment

The length of a partial hospitalization program can vary from a few weeks to a year depending on the person and severity of their mental health condition.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Outpatient mental health treatment does not require participants to live at the treatment center. Instead, they visit and receive care on certain days of the week for their outpatient needs which are best suited for those with:

  • The ability to function outside on their own of the treatment environment
  • Those with mild to moderate symptoms
  • A solid support group

At Lido Wellness, our intensive outpatient program (IOP) is a support program used primarily to treat mental health conditions that don’t require monitoring or hospitalization. This includes people experiencing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma, disordered eating, or stressor-related conditions.

eating disorders, bipolar disorder (including mania; for types I or II), as well as other mental health issues such as depression. Our outpatient services are offered to suit the needs of each person.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapy that helps people with behavioral health and mental health issues learn how to identify and change harmful thought patterns. There are two main focuses of CBT, the cognitive and behavioral sides. The cognitive part works to develop helpful beliefs about your life. The behavioral side helps you learn to take healthier actions.

Negative emotions are often the result of poor actions and thought patterns. Research has shown that these spontaneous negative thoughts have been linked with mental disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.

CBT allows the brain to develop positive thought patterns and beliefs, as well as, more objective and realistic perspectives instead of negative ones. People learn ways to combat their triggers and work through difficult situations.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) is a type of CBT, that was originally intended to treat mental health conditions like borderline personality disorder (BPD), but it has been adapted for other treatment uses as well.

DBT can help people who have difficulty regulating their emotions or are engaging in self-destructive behaviors such as eating disorders. This type of therapy teaches people the importance of empathy and responsiveness, and how to live more mindfully while developing healthier ways to cope with stress, as well as improving relationships with others.

Family Program

We know that family provides an important foundation for support for moving forward after treatment. That’s why Lido Wellness welcomes family involvement and offers a complementary one-day program to help individuals introduce their family members to their treatment experience to ensure maximum support after they leave treatment.

Family members 18 and over are welcome to participate in a full day of programming that covers ways the family can learn more about the trauma-related struggles faced by their loved one.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive method of brain stimulation that relies on electromagnetic induction using an insulated coil placed over the scalp, focused in one specific area thought to play a role in mood regulation.

The coils generate brief magnetic pulses which pass easily and painlessly through your brain while being magnetized by the same type as MRI machines do. When this rapid succession occurs over time, also known as repetitive TMS or rTMs, it can produce long-lasting changes in brain activity. This procedure can be effective for patients with depression who have not benefited from antidepressant medications or cannot tolerate their side effects.

This treatment is gaining attention from many mental health providers because of its effectiveness in treating several types of mental illness including major depression, and other conditions.
