Liz Bolduc, MS, RD, brings a unique blend of expertise and empathy to her role in mental health treatment, with a focus on the critical intersection of nutrition and mental well-being. With four years of experience in the field, Liz has dedicated her career to understanding and communicating the vital role nutrition plays in mental health.
In her current role, Liz is responsible for facilitating nutrition groups and working one-on-one with patients. She employs a non-diet approach, using flexible nutrition to meet the varied needs of her clients. Liz is skilled in evaluating dietary needs through initial and follow-up sessions, and she collaborates closely with the treatment team to provide comprehensive care.
Liz’s journey in mental health treatment includes working with eating disorders in her private practice. This experience has been instrumental in shaping her approach to nutrition counseling, ensuring that it is tailored to each client’s readiness, lived experiences, and stage of change.
Her previous roles at the Discovery Mood and Anxiety Program and consulting for Sunsets Recovery, a substance abuse treatment center, have further honed her skills and deepened her understanding of the complex relationship between diet and mental health.

Liz’s educational background is robust, with both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Loma Linda University. She has also pursued continuing education and supervision specifically in nutrition counseling for eating disorders and mental health, demonstrating her commitment to staying at the forefront of her field.
To maintain her own mental wellness, Liz engages in activities that keep her connected to nature and her own well-being. These include walking her dog, backpacking, hiking, exercising, reading, and enjoying monthly massages. These practices not only enrich her personal life but also bring a sense of balance and perspective to her professional work, allowing her to offer the best of herself to her clients.
