Dr. Eric Chaghouri is a 2007 graduate from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned his B. A. in Biology with Summa Cum Laude honors. While at UCLA, he helped the men’s varsity volleyball team earn a National Championship in 2006. He was named the UCLA Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2007.
He earned his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine in 2011. He completed his internship training in 2008 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the remaining three years of residency in general adult psychiatry at the Los Angeles County and University of Southern California Medical Center. He served as the Chief Resident in psychiatric emergency services during his fourth year of residency. He also served as Resident Clinical Instructor and Volunteer Faculty in the Department of Psychiatry at the Keck School of Medicine.
After completing residency, Dr. Chaghouri accepted a fellowship position in forensic psychiatry at the prestigious USC Institute of Psychiatry and Law. His scholarly activities included publishing in Legal Digest and presenting research findings at the Keck School of Medicine annual conference.
Since completing his forensic psychiatry fellowship, he has established a successful and thriving practice in West Hollywood and Century City, California, focusing on treatment of co-occurring psychiatric and addictive disorders. He works in an array of capacities with attorneys, courts, and other parties in actual or potential litigation. He also has extensive experience consulting and providing opinions on psychiatric issues for major television networks. Dr. Chaghouri’s interests include addiction medicine, substance use disorders, forensic psychiatry, medical ethics, psychological autopsy, gender wellness, and evidence-based treatment of psychiatric conditions.
Dr. Kimberly Brown works as a Psychiatrist at Lido Wellness Center (LWC), with Board Certification in General and Addiction Psychiatry. After receiving her medical degree from the USC Keck School of Medicine and completing her internship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, she finished her residency at USC’s Keck Hospital where she served as Chief Resident of Outpatient Services. She received specialized training in psychodynamic, and intensive short-term, and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques. She pursued an Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at UCLA’s Sepulveda Ambulatory Care training center and has practiced in a variety of settings including the Veteran’s Administration, Inpatient Psychiatric Hospitals, the Emergency Room and Consult services for hospitalized patients. She joined LWC’s elite team because of their stellar reputation and treatment philosophy that closely mirrors her own, with a conservative approach to medication that often serves a supportive role to therapy.
In her practice at LWC, Dr. Brown provides psychiatric evaluations and medication management, paying special attention to individual treatment goals. Her approach to therapy is flexible and integrative in order to best meet the needs and desired outcomes of each patient. By carefully exploring each patient’s personal history, life experiences, and attitudes toward medication, she approaches everyone with empathy in order to facilitate their best treatment options. She finds the most rewarding part of her position to be the ability to collaborate with expert therapists and treat the whole person. She believes that the road to wellness is highly individualized. Dr. Brown enjoys guiding and encouraging patients to take the brave steps necessary each day to address their mental health needs. She believes it is a privilege to witness the life-changing transformations that therapy and medication can make in someone’s life.
Dr. Brown enjoys teaching medical students and residents and has served as a clinical instructor at the USC Keck School of Medicine, and as a Grand Rounds presenter at the USC and UCLA Sepulveda residency programs. She currently holds memberships in the American Psychiatric Association, the California Society of Addiction Medicine, and the American Society of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Brown also serves as a staff physician at Cedars-Sinai for the Consult-Liaison Department. In addition to her work at LWC, Dr. Brown maintains a private practice at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. In her time away from work, Dr. Brown practices wellness in her own life by spending time with her puppy, Kirby, and traveling whenever she can.
Chelsea is a medical professional with experience in working in hospital emergency departments, and crisis services, including inpatient behavioral health working at residential treatment centers specifically with substance use disorder patients and cooccurring disorders. At Lido Wellness Center (LWC) she specializes in working with trauma patients and provides medical oversight as a psychiatric mental health nurse promoting holistic wellness.
Her decision to join LWC came from a desire to be part of a team that is dedicated to being the patient’s last treatment encounter. She feels motivated when she works with Lido Wellness patients because she sees in them a sincere desire to succeed and feel better. She enjoys working with a variety of specialists at LWC and learning from the vast experiences of her fellow clinicians and colleagues.
Chelsea completed her undergraduate nursing program at Indiana University and was especially impacted by a semester in Washington DC, where she provided healthcare to the homeless population. She attended graduate school in southern Kentucky at the University of the Cumberlands where she obtained a dual master’s degrees in clinical mental health counseling and addictions counseling.
She is proud to be part of a military family and feels extra satisfaction in serving those who have served. Her husband was deployed multiple times with the Marine Corps during Iraqi Freedom. Her free time is spent practicing mindful meditation and journaling and enjoying nature with her family. She and her husband and their two children frequently take hikes in Southern California and enjoy biking the Santa Ana Mountains and Santa Ana River trail to the beach.
I am not just renewed. I AM NEW. I am found new in this freedom that breaking up the trauma has brought. I feel a true sense of clarity and oneness to the highest degree ever in my life.
